Susan Cingari, an Emmy-award winning journalist, is one of the most prolific content-producers in the US. During the past 20 years, Susan Cingari has created content for the most important news and sports organizations and programming clients of the United States, the Caribbean and Latin America (click here to see list of clients).
As an Emmy award-winning journalist, Susan Cingari has generated quality and unique content for newspapers, radio, internet, television broadcasting, and commercial productions. Susan started her career while at Wheaton College working at radio and television stations in Boston, Providence and New Haven. During that time Susan also worked at The Bridgeport Post in Bridgeport, Connecticut and WBZ-TV in Boston, Mass, and spent six months in London, England as Associate Producer for the “Tony Fox Show” on British radio and as an intern on “The Two Ronnies”. Upon returning to the United States and graduating from Wheaton, Susan started work at CNN Headquarters in Atlanta as a video journalist. She was promoted shortly thereafter to Associate Producer of CNN’s “Take Two”, a two-hour news and talk program.
After CNN, Susan went to work at WTWS-TV in Connecticut serving as the Creative Services Director where she wrote and produced hundreds of commercials. Later, she traveled to Colorado Springs, Colorado to work as a producer at the ABC affiliate, KRDO-TV. During her tenure at KRDO-TV, the newscast she produced rose from third to first place in the ratings and received numerous awards, including the AP’s “General Excellence Award” for best newscast in the state. Susan then moved to south Florida to become a news producer at WPBF-TV in West Palm Beach, Florida. At WPBF-TV, the fastest growing ABC affiliate in the nation, she produced a daily half hour newscast and special projects.
In 1989, Susan started her first company, Starquest Prime Time Productions, Inc. SPTP produced, marketed and syndicated the “LIFE IN PRIME TIME” news reports geared towards older Americans. “LIFE IN PRIME TIME” provided “news you could use” to the nation’s 62 million Americans over the age of 50. The twice a week news reports began airing in September 1994 on newscasts around the country, and was the recipient of two prestigious awards, a bronze and silver award from the National Mature Media Organization for the series “WHEN LUCK RUNS OUT”, which examined the growing problem of gambling in the senior population.
Susan Cingari was hired as the only local creative person for the ABC reality show “The Family”. As the Palm Beach / South Florida Story Coordinator, Susan helped serve as a creative and logistic liaison for Arnold Shapiro Productions and provided valuable production insights and cost savings to the show.
Susan has also written and produced a one‑hour show for Travel Channel. “Secrets of Disney’s Animal Kingdom” which aired August 2002 in Prime Time, and has reported and produced for many animal shows including Amazing Tails and America’s Greatest Pets.
Susan was also hired to file reports on a regular basis for Travel Channel. Susan has did a long stint working full time freelance for Fox News Channel as a medical, sports and pet reporter. She also served as their main field producer and worked on the assignment desk and as a show booker.
Susan also was a contributing correspondent for CNBC’s, World Business Review covering medical breakthrough and business news all over the USA, Latin America and the Caribbean. Additionally, Susan has served as the in house anchor for Staples, the Office Superstore and has anchored webcasts for Healthology.com. Recent awards include RTNDA’S Award of Distinction for her news-reporting story, Living with AIDS, which aired nationwide on the UPN special Living Positive.
